That is tragic in a bicycle sense and makes Amit's one day delay for

Looking at your no. 10 and after reading Jan's account of his 50 hour

I certainly love being out on my bikes and I've been trying to slow
down and ride farther not faster. I love riding at night too. It just

#10 was not intended to mean a 24 hour plus ride. (that might go on
the 2012 goals list) I just mean a dusk 'til dawn ride. Long 8+ hour

Nice! That was good. It's been awhile since I fell for an April Fools joke.
Perfect. I look back at it and think, Oh, of course. That never happens! But I
fell for it!

Yes Kudos, I fell hook, line and sinker. I guess it just shows my
compassion for fellow Riv riders. Ill wait patiently for pics and
try to get some of my first images online of the little 64cm Bomba
located in West Michigan.

I felt your pain.
Well done, sir! Well done!

Hopefully March 19,2010 is not really the latest. :)
Calling Merry Sales is probably the best way to get that info.

Okay. So the bike was outfitted with a 125mm Phil Bottom Bracket.
After some adjustment / centering, the crank arms JUST made it past
the seat stays, by less than a millimeter. Frame flex, especially in
turns would cause the arms to hit the stays. That's a no-bueno. So,

I've posted a couple of S24O's here. I only got one taker-- but I had
fun both times. If anyone is interested in doing another S24O, I'm in.

Apologies to those who took it too seriously, and to anyone who may

I do not appreciate retaliatory April Fools Jokes. My favorite uncle
lost his life in an uncontrolled escalation of retaliatory April Fools
Jokes. Somebody gave him a crankset fashioned from billet marzipan,
and he rode it on his favorite trail. The cranks failed (being made
of marzipan)
True, but I figured summer 2011--maybe?

That's quite a retro move. Campy Center pull brakes! Look like short

sidepulls, it just seems to buck the long established trend of
sidepulls.

The centerpulls are for improved aerodynamics on time trial bikes.
The fronts are meant to sit behind the fork where they can hide from
the wind. They use a noodle for cable routing, kind of like a
modified V-brake. The true centerpull rear can be mounted under the
chainstays without the arms
