I've been running Bruce Gordon Rock N Roads on my 64cm Atlantis with fenders. They are a 43c label width and measure about 43mm on a mavic a719 rim. When I'm not running fenders, I like running schwalbe thunder berts in a 2.1" width. 2.1" wide tires work great without issues of toe overlap.
