I put the Campy QR binders that Mike Kone sells on an Ebisu and a 1982
Sequoyah. Straight-forward installation, good function, and about as pretty as
a binder bolt can reasonably be expected to look.

Nah. Those things don't work. I use to tie some string between saddle rails and
seat stays. That made it really easy to find the right height fast after having
lowered the post. But then I got lazy and just high-posted it. Now the mtb has

IIRC, Rivendell charged a similar price for LS shirts. Expensive, but for
small-run, MUSA garments, acceptable. LLB and LE charge $50-$55, and those
are made in bulk overseas, I am sure. Synthetic LS jerseys in this year's
(or probably, next year's) style can easily go for twice that. And these

Hello All,
I have too many bags, and am pairing down. I was hoping someone on the list who
wouldn’t normally be able to spend $200 for a good messenger bag and was
needing a commute bag that’s waterproof and a damn good bag would find this ad!
If you are that person, reply off list.
Thanks,
This has been sold. Thanks to all who expressed an interest and also thanks

The QR that Riv uses are not anything special, I asked. They clamp
on/over each side in total. The hex bolt space doesn't get filled in, so if
perfect paint is your thing this is not for you as it's gonna get scuffed.
I'd get a steel one myself, like this :
These came on my Appaloosa, but I immediately changed them out to my

shipping. These are my SECOND favorite bars after the albatross, and I've

Do they make a 700c wheel? - The red would go well on a Betty Foy.

I've been passively wondering about this for ages - it would be SO nice to
be able to pop out the seat post in the city, instead of keeping it on with
an anti-theft mechanism.

Rivendell frame?
I feel like I know what I need in general. QR that is long/short enough
that mates with the nut on the other side and some spacers/washers that fit
into the space where the hex bolt head usually sits.
That was fast! Grabber is sold, tray tentatively still available but waiting on
one potential who has first dibs.

I bought these from Riv a while back in what I think was a bout of padding for
free shipping or spending money there just to spend it..maybe both. The tray
doesn't fit my Park stand (it's not designed to), the grabber works with
everything, I just don't seem to need either.
Tray $5 plus
Indeed, Ryan, one thing I like about its extreme noticeability is I don't feel
like I'm lying when I pass some poor carbon roadie wondering why that old guy
on a step-thru just blew by him. The wheel says "I have a motor, I'm not trying
to pull one over on you, Lance!"

Joe,
I agree with Roberta it definitely looks like it belongs on the Clem L. The
red is definitely attention generating initially I thought a more subdued color
would be desired.
Now the color symbolizes for me that the owner is a bike lover first but open

Thanks, Roberta! I appreciate this more than you know because I've been
struggling with how the wheel looks. Not enough to remove it - I'm not crazy!
(some would disagree) - but it's so RED. I'll work on seeing it with your eyes

Much approved. Only issue is that is to nice of a derailer to only serve as
bling. Enjoy the gravel; enjoy the non-e Riv.

Tom,
I've been using Steerstoppers on my 64 cm Clem H and our Bilenky tandem
for a couple of years. They're pricy, as you noyed, but they work great. I
use the clem for commuting and shopping with a basket and shopsack, and the

No.
No dumb questions here. Someone just pointed out last week how there are so
many standards that it's hard to pick one. If all the swirling ideas that
reach manufacturing produce anything, it'll be questions. Even for brake
mounting fixtures attached to the frame and fork.
