Hi again,
Just to clarify, I realized that my initial post was a little confusing.
I'm not ready to let go of my Hunq until I try out an Appaloosa. So I'm
mainly interested in buying an Appaloosa frame at this point.

Hi Gary, I have a 58 Appaloosa I might be willing to trade. Could you
please post some photos of your Hunquapillar?

Hi Gary,
I don't have an Appaloosa to offer but I would be very interested in buying
your 58 Hunq if you decide to sell it.
Thank you.

Hi all,
I'm thinking of swapping out my 58 Hunq for an similar-sized Appaloosa and
would ideally be looking for one of the newer 60cm Appaloosa frames but
would also consider an older 58. Let me know if you have one you'd like to
re-home.
Thanks,

Call it $80 flat. Does that work for you?
Where are you located?
The wheelset and all other parts have been claimed.
Anyone have suggestions shipping wheels? I'll search around.

Also. I didn't point this out in the last post-but I ran baby shoe and rat
traps (neither were the extra lites) Even though they eat glass, I have only
really had one cut large enough to patch. When I DID get a flat I saw all the
glass and shards embedded and plucked it all out with a needle.

I’ve used the Antelope Hill, Steliacoom, and the Stampede Pass tires in the
past and never had flatting issues. I wouldn’t use them as a durable commuting
tire though...that’s not really their purpose.

Oof. Really wish that was up here in Portland!
Here's a custom that just popped up on ebay. Decent parts kit, but most
importantly great tire clearance and cantis : )

My bad. Got suckered into a &%%$@! zombie thread. I find these almost as
annoying as slashing a sidewall on a new tire. C'mon people, if a thread
was started 4 years ago and last zombied two years ago, it's okay to start
a new thread, even on a similar or identical topic. This has become a
As others have said the Moustache bars are set up with road levers, because
that's what they are designed for. Likewise Albatross bars are for city bike or
mountain bike levers (and grips). Can you cobble something together using a

You can use Velo orange city levers.

Inverse levers would also work if you aren’t using bar end shifters.

I forgot to say in that last post, you would have to shim the levers to fit
around the bar diameter if you were not going to use them by the stem...if
that makes any sense. 26.0 would be larger than the 23.8mm bar diameter so
you would have to stick something in there to fit the space. I've
Here is a solution that just came to me while I was perusing the Paul
Components page. You could use a pair of Paul Comp Cross Levers sized for
the 26.0 diameter of the Mustache bars. They are designed to be used as an
inline brake lever for drop bars, but you can use them on their own too.
Why did the Covid situation have to take my job? I would be so on this
