Hi Daman:
I missed your original post, but had a question if you don't mind
answering: which public transit racks don't fit your Clem H? (I'm local, in
Tacoma) Bus racks? or light rail, train? If they don't fit, is it the long
wheelbase?
thanks for any help!

Not to mention since when you bought the Homer the chainstays have gotten
longer. Also, a lot depends on your pedaling style. If you mash the pedals
you put a lot more strain on the bike than if you sit and spin.

I have a Waterford Homer, 54 cm, and I weigh 150 lbs. I put about 30 lbs
of groceries in panniers in the back and the bike felt great, and if I knew

springy when I was out of the saddle. If I were 180 lbs and 30 lbs in the
Hi Mike,
If you're transferring parts, I'm guessing that you're more interested in a
frame and fork. But if a complete might be an option, I recently listed an
almost unused 45cm Clem L. I didn't put up a main for sale post, I just
mentioned it on the running craigslist thread. I should
Hello!
I just bought an early 2000's Quickbeam which I've added VO's Randonneur
Front Rack with Integrated Decaleur. Does anyone have a bag for sale that
would work with this rack? I'm also open to recommendations and opinions on
what bag i should be looking at. I'm lusting over Fabio's

I had a MUSA Homer years ago, 2005-ish or so. With a Nitto rear rack, my
return trip from TJs with both panniers loaded displayed whippy behavior.
OK for the short rides from the grocery store or TJs, but I would not like
handling even for a S24H. Frame was 61 cm for your consideration.

Your rain jacket tail should extend far enough to cover for rainfall, a
saddle cover for when you get off your bike.
Some of the comments about adding slots in the covers to permanently mount
them may seem ridiculous until you imagine the cover rolled up, captive
atop your bag lid until you

Hi Bill -
I will gladly take those 9 speed down tube shifters off your hands.
Let me know whenever it's convenient for you. I am in no hurry.

I'm contemplating placing an order with Doom Bars for a set of swept
back handlebars, but I see I will need a shim to fit any stem I want to
use. I have never used a shim in a handlebar clamp, so...
Do you Doom Bar owners use stems with 2 or 4 bolt bar clamps, or are you
happy using a
Hi all,
My partner finally gave the green light to upgrade her current commuter

I'll take the Boscos if they're still available!

I have a set of used 9sp down tube Dura Ace shifters
I bought them when it seemed like a good idea because they were getting
more rare and expensive.
Corwin, if you still don’t have a solution in place next to week, I’ll be
near my stash and can work something out with you.

Re the Sunrace option. I noticed SjS Cycles in the UK carry these. They
also have a good selection of square taper bottom brackets.
I have always found SJS to be completely honest about what they carry, so
you could email them and request an opinion. Reviews on the SJS site for

I'm more curious than anything, so I don't want to spend a ton of money on
it. But when I was at Riv a few months ago, I rode one of Will's bikes with
a Rapid Rise RD and really enjoyed it. Does anyone have one for sale by
chance?
Thanks-

Ah, interesting - amd I didn't know. Here's a set of concave baseplates
that would presumably be missing from the used thumby/lever combo, which
could hopefully complete that option. (The Pauls have the "square" milled

Keith, the Dura Ace bar end shifters bolt right on and look identical BUT
the rear shifter pods are different. The rear bar end shifters cable track
begins further away from the shifter cable vs a down tube shifter pod.
What this means is after the 5th or 6th gear, the shifter cable is no
I was first going to say what mr ray did: I'm happy with the quality of
the microshift shifters that I have. They're thumbie mounts, but the lever
shape really seems to be intended as bar ends, so they probably work ok in
downtube mode too. Easiiest thing though would just be to get dura
