I can be shocking! But I had my blue Clem as my only Riv for a long time, and I had it set up as best I could with light parts and wheels and tires and still I was exhausted riding it at speed and up hills. The Platy solved that for me, and I had light parts on both and had Analog build both

I am shocked Leahas someone who regularly takes a bike with extra
weight and a non-ideal gear ranges on club rides I think its unfair to
label the Clem as not suitable for the same. I (personally) would probably
make changes to a Platy set up as such before using it for club rides but
YES
Doug, Well, I can tell you in earnest! Now, you know I’m on your side about Clem-loving. I will never sell mine. But the Platy is more nimble and fits me like a glove. I race it around on club rides. But I can also haul a bunch of stuff with it. What can you not do with the Platy? Well, gravel
What is it about the Platypus that relegates the Clem to not quite good
enough? I ask in jest. I'm loving my Clem and if I bought a Platy it would
have to be Clem plus one. I hope you find one in trade Justin but like Leah
said it seems folks don't move on from a Platypus often.

Mathew, I'll take that bag, Thanks. I've been a fan of Acorn and their

with details for shipping.

that looks very good Leah! i haven't done cleaner myself. it looks like
you left enough slack at all the spots where you need it (ie for full "lock
to lock" steering and such). tail light wiring is a pain, there's really
no perfect answer. Bikes that have full-length housing have it pretty
I love my blue Clem but dark green and orange sounds sooo nice.

Are they coming in Sergio Green? I had heard silver and Ana Purple but that
was many months ago. They maybe changed it. Do you know what the second
color will be?
Good luck with your search. I love a Platy above all else. I bet you don’t
sell it, even in 2 years when you get the itch to try
Thanks Leah. I saw that, but was hoping to get one at a used price or to
trade. Otherwise, I may hold out until the Sergio Green plattys are
released (September according to the most recent calendar?)
Like I said, I love my Clem but yes, I miss the Cheviot and am itching for
something a
Hi all - the RH tires are sold. The grips and rack are still up for sale --
as is the jacket, though I suppose Rapha is an outlier brand amongst the
others, ha.

Justin, it says C has one in Canada. I’ve bought from them before, they are the loveliest people. Cadre Rivendell Platypus Step-Through Countrybike Frameclcycle.caLeah On Jul 31, 2023, at 2:18 PM, Bicycle Belle Ding Ding! wrote:I’ll do some digging and see if I can find you one, Justin. But I’m
I’ll do some digging and see if I can find you one, Justin. But I’m so
curious - I know you loved that Clem and you used to have a Cheviot. Are
you missing your old Chev? I have both bikes and I find the Platypus far
superior to my Clem so I get it. I’ll get to looking…

recently put together a mundo for a friend with a triple and there's

John,Sorry to reply to the group, but I sent you a PM a few days ago that maybe got caught in a spam filter or something. Anyway, if it’s OK I’d like to ask you a few logistical questions about this trip, I have some time off at the end of August and this route is very compelling. Thanks,Jay

Just throwing this out there in case anyone has a 60cm Platty frameset
they're looking to unload or would be up for trading for my 64 Clem (in
Lime Olive). Would pay $$ differential, of course. I love the Clem but got
an itch for something a little different.
Let me know if you'd be
