I purchased a Sergio green Roadini from the last run of framesets. The tig
welding on this frame had some very poor welding beads. Definitely not what
I would expect on a $1300 frame. Maybe it was just this frame, but I feel
that it certainly could have been on the other Roadini's. That could
the book is on its way to michigan.

One thing, I think, that separates Riv road bikes from other brands is the
maintaining of good fit AND handling geometry at the smaller frame sizes
this thread is dealing with. The 700c wheel size has to be dealt with
because they physically "get in the way" of good geometry more as the
frames

and replaced it with the Charlie H. Gallop (expected next year). Especially
since it looks to have longish chainstays and uses the same caliper brakes

That's an idea Doug, however by reshaping the 63mm 700c fender to fit the
smaller diameter 650b you would be widening the fender. You would probably
want to start with a fender that's more narrower.

I'm currently installing the Honjo H80 62mm smooth fenders on my daughter's
51cm Joe Appaloosa (650b) with 42mm Grand Bois tires. These fenders fit
without any special bending, cutting, or manipulation and I would consider
these the widest fender that will fit. Hope that helps.

My recent Susie calls for a 26.8 seatpost but with the stock Kalloy
seatpost there is a fair amount of play. I had a 27.0 Kalloy seatpost that
fit snug and solved the problem. I'm not sure a Nitto 26.8 seatpost would

I run 2.8" G-ones on Cliffhangers on my Gus without any problems. I don't
think the frame would take a bigger tire, and v-brakes almost certainly
won't. I already had to Swap the Paul Motolites for Deores to clear the
2.8" G-ones.
So if you want Cliffhangers on your Susi
the top of the hole where the crank bolt goes and it gets the zero
point of the tape close enough to the center of the crank that it's never
been a problem, or at least it keeps my measurements fairly consistent.
