I commuted off and on for a few months on a Surly LHT but sold it and stopped
commuting. I want to start commuting a few days a week again. My commute is all
asphalt and is 9 miles each way...a little hilly. Is there a Riv that would be
great for that or would any old Riv do?

To chime in needlessly I will say that I just bought a Clem H and my
experience thus far is mixed. I have read Zed Martinez' review and I too am
not taking to the Bosco bars as of yet. I say that with the caveat that I
haven't ridden it much yet and hope I will grow to like the Bosco

My Clem arrived today and I got it assembled. It has a one bolt stem to
handlebar connection. The bars slip if I put my weight on so I’m wondering how
much to tighten the bolt.
It’s a sweet looking bike, Grilver with cooper tape on the bars. The front
wheel is out of true which is a little agg
I only saw one chainring up front initially and so wondered how it could be two
speed. My mistake. I like the concept of two speed though.

Laing, that is interesting. I can see that from the shape of the Grip King. In
theory they simulate foot shape but the narrow middle seems like it could be
problematic.

I’m looking to complete my soon to be arriving Clem Smith H bicycle. I’d like
to ask for opinions on the MKS RMX Sneaker pedals and the MKS Grip King pedals.
