I knew I'd forget a couple:
Wilier Triestina, Chromovelato
Bruce Gordon Custom
Ellsworth Truth
I agree with the basic Bob's Adage: my favorite bike is the one I'm on.

sorry everyone, that's obviously an NOS Superbe Pro on my Heron, not a new
Sun XCD.
Both work well. I did put a Sun XCD on my Legolas (which has the new
Sugino wide range 26-40) and it works very, very well.
Legolas here:
The Sun XCD front derailleur works well for the wide-range front double. I
am using that setup on my Heron 650B:

Works great.

yes, works fine. The set up you describe is working well on my Gunnar

Mine is either 24-40 or 26-40. with an 11-34. I am able to use the full
cassette on the large (40) chainring, but not
Dave -
I do Levi's Gran Fondo every year on a Rivendell or similar bike - - mostly
on a Roadeo, once on a Della Santa.
The Wine Country Century is coming up, in two weeks, here in Santa Rosa.
Not sure which bike I'll ride - - maybe my old Rivendell Road.

Dear Rivendell Friends,
I really need some advice, which I hope this group can provide. I am at my
wit’s end and need help.
It’s kind of a long story, but here goes: my wife and I have been happy for
many years, of course riding bikes together a great deal. Lately, though,
she has
John and friends,
yep, just crackin' your chains.
Happy April Fool's. I recycle this one every few years and send it to
Grant and John, this year I included the list.
Thanks for indulging my foolishness.
For the record:
None of my Rivendells have ever cracked or developed any other problem;
I am a pocket-sized Clyde at 215. I easily and happily ride a custom, a
Legolas, Roadeo, Quickbeam, and an Atlantis. I don't know the Hunq, have
never ridden one, but it seems hell-for-stout. Based on my experience, I
recommend the Atlantis. It takes fat tires easily and handles very well,
set that would work.

Oddly, that shot of me going up Mt Graham is the second of my Rivendell
shots to get picked up by Explorer on Flickr. The shot below - - a very
average shot of my Legolas - - somehow got selected. I's pretty mundane,
but managed to develop 13k hits and a lot of compliments. It really ain't
Rene,
that's a fun, great shot.
And, it's at least the second Rivendell shot in recent weeks to end up in
the Explorer Gallery. For reasons unknown to me, a shot of my Roadeo
grinding up Mt Graham ended up in that Gallery:

Took a few days off to hit some mountains in Arizona, on the Roadeo. Pics
prove it happened:

Mt. Graham is a little over 9,000 feet at the top. The views were worth it.

They are kind of fun to watch:
I put On-One Mary Flat bars on a few of my bikes. Mount them upside down,
cafe racer style - they are very comfortable, ergonomic, and functional. I
have them on a Bob Jackson and a Pereira:

Hello Dick:
Mine is a 61. Weight 22.75, with Selle AnAtomica Clydesdale seat, Look Keo
pedals, two King bottle cages. I weigh over 200 lbs so I don't worry much
about bike weight, and did not build up this bike with the intention of
making it light.
It's one of my favorite bikes for hill
Eric, I could use both if still available.
