Can you post a few pics of your current setup? It could be that your daruma
bolt is too short (which could be solved with a recessed nut). Orthie-- I
think this is Rene-- has a pics of daruma-bolt setup on his Betty Foy:

I too, would like to see your photos. If you reference the photos on my
Betty that Shoji posted the link for, you'll see that I had to modify the
body of the daruma so the wedge would fit inside the steerer tube due to
the recessed washer on my brake. I also used a recessed washer under the
fender
So i think the problem is that i don't have as much drop from the bolt
inside the fork crown to the fender as you guys have, here's a pic of it

i'm actually using a daruma for the fender stay instead of fork crown one,

Minh,
If the daruma is too long, you can always shorten it with a dremel after
measuring how much you need to shorten it after positioning the fender
correctly and seeing how much of it extends past the bolt under the fender.
Since you don't seem to have a center bolt brake, you have more

explain my confusion.
The way i have it setup now
Shoji's diagram (thanks i remember seeing this before), is how i have it now

bottom of the fork crown, but i can't swap in the wedge for the flat metal
washer with the daruma in there now, when i switch out with a
Ok, so in the middle of winter tweaking, has anyone installed a fender wedge,

on a Hillborne? I can't figure out how to position it to get it to fit, i'd
like to replace the rubber washer and get the fender a
I use them on my bikes. I assume you have the daruma already in place and
the original flat metal washer + rubber washer, correct?
The wedge replaces the metal washer and should fit inside the fork steerer
