Nice components; can't see how you would do much better. Geez those WI
cranks are good looking. Nice price if it's your size, that's for sure

Agree. Little too big for me, but would be hard to resist if it were a 56.

Ooh,I love that color. It's definitely a custom-level Nobilette, it has the
fancy lugs and bottle-boss stars. Not my size or I'd be picking it up tomorrow!

I seem to remember them (the nobillete protovelos) selling at $1100. I
currently have two - a 650b Saluki-esque frame and a 700c
Rambo/Hilsen-esque frame. They are terrific bikes, especially for prototype
builds. I think there is a lot of confusion surrounding what they should
be worth -
IIRC the Hilsen was released in late 2006. Around 2009 there was a large list
of Protovelos posted on Riv’s site. I believe some of them were essentially
Hilsens that Mark built to practice with the lugs. With any Protovelo it is
hard to say exactly what model it is or most closely resembles

I posted it when it first showed up on CL. Such a nice build. I couldn't
afford a new bike so I shared the psa. I wonder if it was a protovelo of the
58cm/650b Hilson which was a bike I
It's a test run Nobilette did as a sort of audition to be Riv's new custom
builder. Protovelo is a decal Grant slaps on prototype frames that precede a
production model, or, in this case, the new builder's customs.

What's a Protovelo?
Shame you have to use p-clamps to mount a front rack.

It was posted here bc someone posted your CL ad here. And in that post (not
this one), someone pointed out that it said the Nitto bars were made in the
USA. All in good fun. Nitto is famously Japanese so it is a funny mistake.
This is a great group of people. I’d also guess your chance of

Not my size; have some Rivendells already. It's a good price, good luck on
the sale and I hope that it finds a good home

Is where somebody got that. We have fun on here laughing with and not at, it's
all good. And even though it's way too small for me, I'd love to see a better
picture of your bike, one that I can tell the color (not that it matters, I
just bought a new riv
This bike was posted here by someone who saw it on Craigslist a while back. The
point of the photos comment is that folks think you would sell it faster if
your ad had better photos.

This is my bike, and no it was never posted here.
Frame is approximately 8 years old, and custom built for 650B.
Frame size is 58.5cm by 58.5cm.
Nitto handlebars are "Made in Japan".not sure where someone gets made in
USA.
On a last note if you don't like my photos, why not ask for new

Absolutely true, but Ryan probably should've been harsher on those photos.
They're really really really bad (specifically that overall shot). And if
it was a 68 I'd care more, but a custom should have more frame specs, top

Oh yeah.it's the US-made Nitto handlebars.
$2000.00 IS not a bad price , though.
