Cheaper price cuz made in Taiwan instead of USA now.
New model has a six degree (I think) sloping top tube and other frame diffs
from the previous MUSA version.
They have an online catalog on their rivbike.com site where you can view
the model and read about all its frame features.

Unfortunately, I have to miss the bike expo this year. I'm in San Diego for
work and couldn't get back in time. Still pretty bummed. Oh well!

Interesting, I was thinking only Toyo's featured water bottle mounts.
What's that color called? Creamsicle orange?

I'm definitely going to noodle with the Ergon grips. I think I might have
them oriented too vertically as you mentioned.

Hi, I might be wrong here, but are the Ergon grips set up so the wedge supports
your palm? In the photo it looks like the widest part is facing down rather
than horizontal to support the lower part of your hand. I haven't used ergons

Eric, your AHH is gorgeous! Could it be the back pain you experienced was
partly a result of the downtube shifter setup? Looks like a fair reach from
the bars to the shift lever.

Hi Brian,
That is one nice bike :-)
Your comment that this is your first road bike after 18 years of mountain
biking has made me decide to pull the trigger.
What brooks model have you installed?
The saddle color is a good match to your bike.

I find the Berthouds on my HH are a lot less "floppy" that the SKS on my other

Looks awesome!
I second the need for fenders, but I would recommend the SKS fenders
that riv sells over everything else.
I started with those, then tried honjo and berthoud metal fenders and
ended up back with the sks. They don't cover quite as much but they
cover enough and they are more durable/
Wow! That looks great. Berthoud fenders? Since you live in PNW I'd
consider them, they'll offer great coverage.
