Hi, I might be wrong here, but are the Ergon grips set up so the wedge supports your palm? In the photo it looks like the widest part is facing down rather than horizontal to support the lower part of your hand. I haven't used ergons but I thought they were designed for wider, horizontal support

Looks awesome! I second the need for fenders, but I would recommend the SKS fenders that riv sells over everything else. I started with those, then tried honjo and berthoud metal fenders and ended up back with the sks. They don't cover quite as much but they cover enough and they are more durable/
