Vincent, I've avoided a permanent basket mounting with a John's Irish strap. https://www.flickr.com/photos/129545862@N03/16159037984/in/dateposted-public/ This is the way I used to strap it to the front rack. Now I attach it the same way but cross the strap underneath between the basket

Hi Roberta, with this mechanism, the basket is wobbly by nature. Feels like it may fall off, but it hasn't. I think it will be fine for 10 lbs or so cargo (a little more maybe, on wider racks) as long as you slow down on bumps. Here's a picture from when I had loaded it with two 6-packs

Ash, Do the springs hold the basket tightly to the rack? Do you ever feel that going over a big bump could dislodge it? Roberta On Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 12:48:30 PM UTC-4, Ash wrote: > > Public bikes makes a basket with clasp mechanism based on spring tension. > Pictures

I'd love to see someone do a run of Clayton's basket buckler. Perhaps... Rivendell? That would be a seriously couture basket rack. Add a bail to the basket, and you could carry it into a store. Philip Santa Rosa, CA On Friday, August 31, 2018 at 10:57:32 AM UTC-7, Drw wrote: > > Clayton’s
