I'm happy with my Bern helmet. It's light and fits well (rare for me, I wear the XXXL size). Berns have snap-in liners, and most models have an optional thicker liner for winter riding. My only criticism with Berns is that most aren't vented well. My Brentwood is too warm to wear in mid-summer;

My ex-gf put Horizons on her Surly Straggler 650b build. Hers measured 49 mm wide on 30 mm Velocity Blunt rims. So, they would probably measure the stated 47 mm on a 25 mm rim. I agree with masmojo that the Byway looks like even better, with shoulder knobs for occasional deep gravel.
