Sounds like a task tailor-made for 3D printing. The ideal situation would
be if Dia-Compe would send you the 3D file that they almost certainly have,
but I'm sure that (rational) liability concerns will prevent this.

Great idea about 3D printing, Peter! I'll reach out to Riv on the off
chance they can get me the file I need.
Our local library has a maker space with a 3D scanner and 3D printers, so I
can go get certified and see if I can make some stuff! It's about a 5
minute walk for me.

The mechanism looks almost identical to the Suntour Barcon (of course) so
broken Barcons might be a source of parts. In addition the stem or
downtube mounted Suntour power ratchet shifters might also have the
spring. See velobase

Hello listers,
Every year or so I check in about the availability of a 54cm quickbeam.
Anyone have such a thing they want to pass on to a new owner?
Offers offlist please to control the clutter

If its the aluminum version it will have a sticker/band around the bar near
the sleeve. Either black or red I think?? I can't remember. If its the
chromoly version then not to nitpick but the price is higher than the new
price.

Update to the Update
Still no riding . The LBS working on the wheel said that after truing it,
it went right back out after putting a load on it. They believe one end of
alternating spokes/spoke holes weren't threaded when built. So... Riv is
sending out two replacement wheels and I will send
Update:
I might have found a 56 QB. Still looking for 54 though. Does anyone want to
trade a 54 for a 56? The difference is only a .5cm longer top tube and 2cm
taller stand over.

Maybe they will send you Rich-built wheels instead! I’m looking for a silver lining. I’m sorry, Kiley. Not the answer we were hoping for. But hang in there. Soon, RivSister. You’ll be out Clemmin’ before you know it. Any chance you can pop the wheels from your other bike on that one in the
Well that's a real bummer, Kiley. However, when you get your new wheels, I
am certain that you will more excited than ever before to ride your new
Clem. I'm glad to hear that RBW HQ is replacing your wheels with a new set.

Thanks, Michael. IIRC the Silver 1s are copied from the Suntour Sprint
downtube levers. From this diagram it looks like the design of the Silver
levers is very similar. But the depiction of the pawl (No. 3, "Ratchet

I suspect the bar end shifter is more like the thumbshifter design in that
the ratchet and all related parts are notable larger than on the Sprint DT
version. I like the idea of 3d imaging and machining of parts, if/when
possible !

I usually wear a snap button down "fly fishing" shirt from Howler Bros.
Long sleave whatever the temps. Popping the collar and leaving the sleaves
down in the sun really does help. For bottoms I usually wear some sort of

The chromoly version is magnetic.

I believe chromoly, I've had them for sometime and forgotten.

Hi Eliot,
What a difference of change you made to your bike ! Excellent job. You are
matching the black from the handlebars all the way down to the feet of the
double kickstand. Very nice.

I think it’s a 40/24 setup with a 11/32 cassette. This was my first ride in

though.
The housing I’m using I got from Velo Orange. It looks nice. It
