Keith, road bike double crank chainline spec is always 43.5mm. Are you
measuring between the rings ?
You may hate me for saying so but it sounds like this crank would be better
suited for another frame with at least 135mm spacing. With the big ring
that far out on a 130mm spaced road frame,

While an exploratory project like this might not be the quickest or most
logical route, it results in a very unique ride!

Rivendell. I sold it to a forum member and he’s the one who added the
disc mounts. He listed it for sale not long after that as I remember. I
still have the original unadulterated fork.

I mistakenly bought the MTN version of a Shimano bottom bracket (external
cups) for a recent 105 crank. Comparing to the old (road) BB, it looked to
me like the only difference was the internal plastic sleeve length. I

Patrick, tires are Soma Cazadero 700x50mm. They’re an underrated gravel
tire I think. Fast, very light, supple, perform pretty well in a variety of
conditions and terrains, dry and wet.

I went with 11s and a single DT shifter (I'm running 1x11) and I treat my
Roadini as a gravel bike. It's great. Usually I climb on the road so
shifting is not a problem, and descending who cares what gears you're in.

That's how it was assembled when it arrived. I just cant figure out why
