Sounds lovely, and pretty much my size. I remember test-riding a Romulus
at Rivendell World HQ when they were in their lineup. I really felt good
on that bike.

I didn't see the Dude, but I did see the Lone Wolf (sorry - I didn't get a

My wife and I hauled some kids to downtown and back. We had a great time.
The weather was perfect, and it was great to see Angelenos away from their

They are polished and look silver... Actually they look like the Velo-Orange
Raid and Diaganal, yet appear to be thicker than the Diaganal.

With fully loaded touring the weight difference is insignificant. The wider
Nitto has advantages when mounting bags or strapping other supplies on the rear

mounting system that will work with noodles, mustache, and albatross bars.
It's large enough for my DSLR and a moderate zoom lens. Stable and easy

I use a Carradice Barley saddlebag as a handlebar bag on my albatross bars. Two
buckles on the bars and one on the quill. It is very secure and no swaying that
I have noticed, but a cable hanger for cantis would get in the way (I use
v-brakes). I can take a photo tomorrow if you like?

I'm with Jim, I think it's a Homer, when I enlarge the photo I can see the
curved headtube lugs that are on later Riv's. Rams and Bleriots
had symmetrical lugs.

It is a serious challenge to get a bag with easy access, little sway, and
