I got lost in the details of your question, but I think the sway alone
would be problematic and the weight on the straps extensive. It is the one
saddlebag Rivendell says a rack is required. I'd go with them on that.

Ooh sounds like fun. If I were driving over to pick up one of those Just Ride

bike of my own for my birthday, Univega 1982 10-speed!
Have fun!

Just gave them a call and said 42s would probably be too tight a fit. After
looking at other pictures of the cazadero, I also think fenders and 42s
probably wouldn't work. I think I'll just save my money for now.

It seems to hold shape fairly well. Though it would depend on how heavy you
stuff it. I've seen some ones that were sagging (they seemed to be used
heavily, and very sunbleached and old).
You can always get a smaller light weight rear rack. I used a Marks rack in
the rear. Super useful.

I also imagine that there is some lawyer-language regarding "safe" minimum
clearances with fenders, etc. In the same way that apparently a Mark's Rack
can only carry like a peanut and some feathers, this could be a
conservative estimate to appease the legal department.

You seem like a good candidate for a bag support to keep the bag off the

Likely Soma's specs are referring to *with *fenders , so that would
account for the 42mm tires *without *fenders on the bike in the image.

Hi,
I'm looking for something bigger than the XS Sackville saddlebag to use
when I'm not using a rear rack.
I'm one of those who doesn't have much space to spare between the saddle
of my 54cm Hunq, and the rear tire, especially when I'm riding fatter
tires. When I checked again this

Hi David,
Do you want the 25.4mm Moustache bars just for that clamp size?
Or do you also want the Moustache bars that take mountain bike shifters
and brake levers?
If yes to the second question, I have the Hsin Lung Moustache bars with
that configuration: 25.4mm and mountain bike stuff.

I wouldn't expect so. Their web site says:
*CHANGES for 2015:* The 47 thru 57cm (57cm is a new addition) are
designed for 650b wheels and 55-75mm reach road brakes.
Thanks gonna call them. Hopefully the smaller 650bs can fit 42s with
