Thanks, Bill!
I'm usually on the fence in regards to the bent-back Thomson as well. It
seems to work on some bikes and not on others. I think its working on my
Homer...?
When I got my Homer I wanted to build a Rivendell that wasn't like most
other Rivendells. The look is a little divisive I

That's exactly where I got my Terra Speeds! $98/shipped. Obviously, RH is a
MUCH smaller company than Continental so I understand why their prices are
higher and why you can't find their products deeply discounted.

I've only punctured an RH while road riding, commuting, etc.

Out of curiosity, what sealant are you using?

Haha...the unicorn tears is what really seals them up!
I've typically used the Panaracer sealant but I'm going to Silca's sealant
next time. I've had a lot of luck with it.

Hello All-
I am just coming off of 1200 miles with the Snoqualmie Pass Extralight
tires.
Goods:
Ride was great,
Speed was great
Weight was great
Handled all of the gravel I could throw at it
Bads:
Had to put extra sealant in them several times just to get them to hold
air. I

I don't think I've ever gotten more than 1500 miles out of a set of
Extralights. By the that time the rear tire is usually slick and both tires
have several tread slashes in them.
I've had a lot of luck with the Barlow Passes (running tubeless) in
standard casing however.
I have a Waterford AHH with 50mm Berthoud fenders, 42mm Tufo Gravel
Speedero tires, and Paul Racer brakes. It’s a tight squeeze but it works.

I have two short-sleeve jerseys from Cima Coppi. They are both top notch! I
wear a large in their sizing but a medium in “American” sizing if that’s
helpful at all. Can’t comment on shorts specifically though.

Hi Patrick-
Thanks for the compliment! The bars are the Nitto 177 (aka the Noodle).
This is my road-gravel-singletrack bike hence the need for same wild
gearing. Its a 38 in the front and a 10-42 in the back. I don't use the 36

This is a good heads up! I think they’ve been trying to offload the 26.8 at
this price for a few years now so they must have (or had) a decent
inventory. I bought one at this price in 2020. Looks like the secret is out
now. :)

Gorgeous bike!
Hard to tell if it’s a “fair” price until the auction ends though. This one
is going to go big I think.

It’s a scam. Their listed address is a Marshall’s.

I have the Racers on my Homer. Love the modulation and power. They are
paired with TRP RRL levers. As someone mentioned above the biggest tire you
can fit in there without deflating is 38mm. Oh well.

Any scratch obtained while on a ride adds a little character to the bike
and is always a story to tell (even though it feels pretty painful in the
moment). Kudos to everyone getting out there!

Hi Jay-
Lovin’ the build! Thanks for sharing your impressions. The orange paint
with the green bar tape looks great.
I just put 32mm Corsa Pros on my Waterford Homer. I’ve only ever ridden it
on 38mm+ gravel tires so I’m super excited to feel what it’s like on a more
road-oriented tire.
Did you end up selling this?

Hi Joe-
Hello from Seattle and thanks for sharing the article! I’m glad you
mentioned the usually unmentioned downside of wider, heavier tires…slower
acceleration. Something to keep in mind when selecting a tire size for a
particular route or group riding style.
