My 61cm bleriot has hetres and VO 52mm zeppelin fenders. The
clearance is minimal though I've had no issues. I do have to deflate
my tires to get them out of the brakes (sidepulls) as stated above.
These are a couple of photos that I have; the second is probably the
closest photo I have to
I use a white industries 16/19 freewheel with the stock 40/32 front
chainring setup that came with it from Riv. I'm very happy with the
setup and use the 16 and the 19 about equally depending on what kind
of riding I'm planning on doing for the day. I haven't needed to
change the gearing in the
I've had my bleriot for 2 years and my quickbeam for 1 year. I bought
the quickbeam to essentially be a simpler, single-speed version of my
bleriot. Since then the quickbeam has become my preferred bike. I
find that I'm (empirically) more efficient on my quickbeam and don't
tire as easily.
Thanks for the input everyone!
* I've checked the whole bike for drag except the wheel bearings,
I'll give those a look.
* I need to confirm that my body position is the same between bikes.
I tried to set them up as close as I could but it's possible one or
both configurations have drifted from
I bought a used Bleriot some time ago that came with wheels made with
Sunrim CR-18 rims and they're unquestionably from the oversized
batch. I knew about the oversized rims before I purchased the bike
and decided the bike was well worth the price even if I had to replace
the wheelset. The
I picked up my new Quickbeam from Rivendell last week but with family
in town over the weekend this morning was the first opportunity I've
had to ride it. I realized there aren't many (if any) photos of the
new quickbeams outside the Rivendell website so I snapped a quick
photo on my iphone that
I've had these sitting around for a while. Great set of French-made
crankarms. Only blemish is on the inside of the non-drive side arm;
some idiot didn't know how to take them off of his bike, obviously.
Don't effect the ride; just had to crank down hard when you tighten
them.
I'm asking $75
If this the c19 hasn't sold I would be interested in purchasing it.

Per the surly website the steamroller can run up to 700x38 tires.

Love it! I have really been wanting an Atlantis and this doesn't help
matters. Glad you like the Compass tires. I have been interested in the new
55's and wondered how they ride.
I'm also from Indy. Hope to see it out and about sometime.

Zed, I live in Indianapolis as well and have been looking at your CL post
off and on for weeks now. If I weren't in the middle of renovating a house
my wife and I recently bought, I'd have already snagged this up.
Best of luck!

I’ve set up my steamroller as close to a QB already, but pushing 650b I’m
getting hella toe overlap. Love to snatch a Quickbeam and hold on to her for a
long long time. Orange preferred, but all the color options get me going.

Caught that one. Talked to the owner a smidge and e didn’t seem too receptive
on shipping. It also has looks a bit small so I’m thinking it was a ~56

you might have access to!
Thank you everyone that has provided me with very valuable bike information

I am searching for a used Atlantis as my introductory first, Rivendell,
during my fall into the rabbit hole of the internet and bike opinions. I
have been steered toward the newer model Atlantis, but the Atlantis 2's are
cheaper and more readily available. I want to know whether anyone has ever

Keep me posted on ride quality, I might be getting an Atlantis in my size if the stars align. I have never ridden a long base bike before so I am super curious how other feel about the updated geometry. My only fear is getting a new Atlantis and it being very un-playful, like riding a longboard,
In search of an Atlantis 55cm, frame or complete. Let me know what you have
