[RBW] WTB: Rosco Platypus 50cm Purple

2023-01-24 Thread Dan Vee
Hey.

Curious if anyone here might have one they are looking to sell? Could be a
frameset or possibly a complete.

Thanks
-Dan

Re: [RBW] Sweepy bars, stem length, and climbing out of the saddle

2020-09-01 Thread Dan Vee
Hey.

Just to clarify. The frame does have a longer “reach” number also to be
used with a flat bar set up. But yes I was saying that also.

Re: [RBW] Sweepy bars, stem length, and climbing out of the saddle

2020-09-01 Thread Dan Vee
Thanks for the responses guys.

I agree that the longer reach measurement (relative to the bb) Defintely
helps, which this bike does have. I have ridden sweepier bars on bikes
designed around drops and always felt weird to me. Trail on this bike is
around 65-69mm depending on tire size. I suppose it does differ a little
from a riv in chainstay length at 423mm with the sliding drop outs slammed
forward but does have a 20mm to play with (423-443). I’d assume that this
could alter handling slightly too weight distribution wise.

2020-08-11 Thread Dan Vee
This is good Information. Thanks. I will be getting a custom 650b fixed gear
soon and have been contemplating fenders... but between the rear wheel flipping
for gear Changes and the general style of riding I do, I feel like the
simplicity of the bike kinda gets lost somewhere. I think I’ll just get wet.
:-). Thanks for posting your experience update.

I have a berthoud Aspin and a b17. I find so far that the Aspin is more
comfortable a little less upright and the b17 is more comfortable if your
upright.
