I like the IQ X. It’s everything you say, and of course half the price of the
Edelux. The trade-off is build quality. The Edelux’s front “lens,” for
instance, is glass; the IQ X’s is plastic. I’ve never had a problem with my IQ
X, but if you’re looking for the very best, most robust
I’ve been running my Velogical with an Edelux II headlight for several years,

ZERO drag in the “off” position, great German engineering, works with any
wheel. Cons: Sits outside on the frame, where it might be subject to damage
(not a problem for me in several years of use), makes a quiet whirring noise
when running, requires a small clamp to attach to the frame.

I’m looking for a pair of gently used 700x28 tires of the “supple” genre (Grand
Bois, Compass, Supple Vitesse, etc.) for a newly purchased bike. Got a pair

Have you tried putting a chain on it? Maybe placing tension on the derailleur

I’ll take care of that for you. I suggest E Street Bicycles—Doug is a great guy
and would probably be happy to help.

I find the weight limits very interesting. Rivendell has always marketed their
bikes as the “anti-racer” or “not light” alternative to wispy aluminum and
carbon bikes. Selling a bike with a weight limit most of us would exceed seems
strange. A max of 160 pounds implies to me a bike unlike what
Forgot to mention: 135mm spacing in the rear. This can be easily changed by
spinning on a shorter axle, available at PhilWood.com <http://philwood.com/>

Good luck, and enjoy the bike. At least you have the trauma of the first

Wow. Just saw this.
Setting the saddle 1” too high doesn’t sound to me like a difference in
philosophy and more like somebody didn’t know what the F* they were doing.
