That makes sense. I think my thumb shifters and bell may have been in the
way.

John, the "hood position" is right at the top front where the the bar starts
curving down towards the flat section that flanks the stem. It's kinda useless
if you're using mtb grips and above bar shifters; the demo I rode at RBW had
cloth tape for grips and no obstacles in front of them.

I have come to love mine. I have the widest ones they sell on a 52cm Clem
using a 100mm stem, and the grips are perfect for me. I had some initial
problems, part of which were trying to use them like I did north roads and
albstaches and I quickly found out that wasn't going to work. I couldn't
I bought them for a Soma mtn bike when I was having some rotator cuff
problems.

Although they enabled me to keep riding by alleviating the shoulder
pressure, I couldn't sell them fast enough when I was feeling
Thanks ya'll. It's difficult to make these (insignificant) decisions in the
vacuum of webpages, photos and measurements, without getting to actually
get a feel in person. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Cheers and happy riding!

I love 'em. I ordered them for my Sam when they were new. Used them for a
year and got the bullmoose version to replace the drops on my Hunq.
Having the huge range of body positions makes long trips much more
enjoyable and less work.
Would love to see pix of that!

I like them. I've ridden the bullmoose version that came on my Clementine
for over a year on my daily commute, minus days when I or the bicycle was
out of service. I bought a regular Bosco for my tandem. For me, except for
brief forays to the front of the bar, they are essentially one position,
im not a huge fan. like others have said, they come back real far. im not
wholly convinced that the front position is comfortable or useful either.
its like riding on the tops of narrow drop bars with 2 big horns extending
up your arms and no easy way to the brakes. i put mine on a bike i built
I had them on my 52 Clementine; I didn't hate them, bit they do come back a
lot. A long stem is a necessity. I was using a 100mm Technomic and coulda gone
a bit more. In the end I changed over to a vintage BMX cruiser bar that I
really dig.
If I would have stayed with the Bosco I probably
I put them on a bike that I always felt a little stretched out on. I like
them. Wasn't sure I was going to but it just seems to work on that bike.
I find that the handlebars that Riv sells seem to be very bike specific for
my use. What I mean is that I can love an Albatross on one bike and

Or a really long stem, like they put on 80s mountain bikes. I tried them
with a 160mm stem on my Bomba. The fit was fine that
