Hey Alexander, tire prices are for the sets. 2 of each except for the
Cypres, for whatever reason I ended up with 3 of them over the years.
I agree, The M1377s are amazing.

[RBW] Re: FS: Garage Sale, parting out a bike

2020-06-25 Thread Collin A
Had to do some digging, but it turns out it was a prototype for a road bike
(brand was 17teeth, frames were built several years ago in taiwan). One of
the LBS' in Sac picked them up through a friend. It's a beautiful frame up
close, seems pretty well made, and it's a simple bike that can be built in
some fun ways, which was why I got it.

It's not a super light frame, but the ride is smooth with the colnago fork
(lots of washboards on my local rides).

Just a clarification from my earlier post,

https://www.flickr.com/photos/joe_bunik/24853389916/in/album-72157687093735244/

This ($70) is a 2nd / different "Randonneur" rack from before, and is
NOT cantilever-specific. It mounts to fork eyelets/tabs/p-clamps and
has an adjustable tang for wrapping a crown-mounted brake, i.e. this
model:

https://store.velo-orange.com/index.php/accessories/racks-decaleurs/vo-randonneur-front-rack-with-integrated-decaleur.html

Sorry about any confusion,

[RBW] Re: FS: Garage sale! Wheels, Tires, Fork, Pedals, Derailleurs, Bike Bag, Complete MTB...

2016-05-10 Thread Jeremy Till
Wanted to bump another old FS thread. Can you tell that I need funds for my
Clem project?

I'm in Sacramento, CA and often in the SF Bay Area, so local pickup is my
preferred method of delivery, but I'll ship a lot of the items, especially
if you buy multiple things. Everything is OBO.

Here's the pictures:
https://flic.kr/s/aHsktdoi5T

Here the list:

-27" (630mm) fixed gear rear wheel, $50. Sun CR-18 rim, Origin-8 branded
Formula sealed bearing, double sided fixed gear hub, Wheelsmith 14g
spokes. Currently spaced at 126mm but can be spaced up or down by adding
or removing spacers on both sides; plenty of axle length to even go up to
130mm. Handbuilt by me, not a whole lot of miles ridden before it was put
in storage, I recently trued it and checked the tension. Bearings spin
smoothly.

-Front and rear first gen Shimano Deore "Deerhead" derailleurs (FD- and
RD-M700), $50 Perfect functionally, OK cosmetically. Came on an old Takara
touring bike I converted to fixed gear. Cool old derailleurs, I always
thought I'd find a use for them but honestly, most of my derailleur bikes
are indexed these days.

-3 pairs of Time ATAC pedals, $15 each or $40 takes all of them. All of my
old clipless pedals, I now ride flats exclusively. Two pairs of the
"Alium" model including one silver "HP" pair, and one pair of circa 2006
ATAC XE's. All are functional, and the three older pairs still spin
beautifully, with no play in the springs, although the RH black Alium is
missing the dust cap. Ironically, the newer XE's have a little bit of
bearing play and play in the springs. (The grey plastic pair also shown
in the photos is already sold).

-Look Bike Bag $50. Large main pocket for frame/fork and side wheel
pockets with enough room for two wheelsets. I bought this in Luxembourg
during a trip to Europe so I could take my bike on the French TGV trains.
I used it hard for a month and then for a couple of subsequent trips
involving flying with my bike, but since then It's mainly been used for
storing various frames, wheels and tires. It does have some tears and
holes in fabric and cardboard stiffener on the bottom, but with some
judicious patching it would be a great and cool way to transport your bike.

-1 pair WTB "Allterrainasaurus" 700x40mm tires, $30. Little or no use,
always stored inside, good shape, wire bead. These have a knobby tread
intended for mixed surfaces, a precursor to the "gravel" tires currently in
vogue. These used to be my go-to summer tire on my touring bike; they have
good volume and roll well on pavement while providing confidence off-road.
Back then we called it "mixed-terrain" riding.

-1 Kenda "Slant Six" 29x2" wire bead tire, $15. XC tread with somewhat
minimal knobs; this is a 30TPI OEM spec tire so it's on the heavy side.
Used for less than a year on the front of my MTB before I swapped to
something lighter and with more aggressive tread. Plenty of life left.

[RBW] Re: FS: Garage sale! Wheels, Tires, Fork, Pedals, Derailleurs, Bike Bag, Complete MTB...

2016-03-01 Thread Jeremy Till
Another bump. The Cross-Check fork and grey plastic ATAC's are sold,
everything else is still available. Make me an offer.

-27" (630mm) fixed gear rear wheel, $45.
Bearings spin
smoothly.

-26" (559mm) rim brake front wheel, $50. Mavic XM 317 rim laced to Shimano
LX hub with DT 14g spokes. Handbuilt by QBP's wheel shop, formerly
"Handspun," now "Quality Wheels." Used by my wife on the front wheel of
her commuter for 2.5 years until I built her a dyno wheel this past fall.
Runs true and spins well.

-Front and rear first gen Shimano Deore "Deerhead" derailleurs (FD- and
RD-M700), $40. Perfect functionally, OK cosmetically. Came on an old
Takara touring bike I converted to fixed gear. Cool old derailleurs, I

storing various frames, wheels and tires. It does have some tears and
holes in fabric and cardboard stiffener on the bottom, but with some
judicious patching it would be a great and cool way to transport your bike.
(Sorry folks, I can't ship this one).

-1 pair WTB "Allterrainasaurus" 700x40mm tires, $30. Little or no use,
always stored inside, good shape, wire bead. These have a knobby tread

something lighter and with more aggressive tread. Plenty of life left.

Those are the parts. The bike pictured is a practically NOS 2008 Jamis
Dakota Sport aluminum hardtail MTB, 17", which we bought for my wife last
summer. She only rode it a couple of times on short MTB rides, and
recently she bought a Clem Smith Jr. from Rivendell that she can ride
off-road with, so this one is going. 9spd Deore/XT drivetrain, Shimano
hydro disc brakes, RS Tora fork. I'd do $400 for an iBOB.

Bump, lower prices on most everything, feel free to make me an offer. Come
pick up some cool stuff while you're in town for NAHBS!

-27" (630mm) fixed gear rear wheel, $45. Sun CR-18 rim, Origin-8 branded
Formula sealed bearing, double sided fixed gear hub, Wheelsmith 14g

judicious patching it would be a great and cool way to transport your bike.
(Sorry folks, I can't ship this one).

-1" threadless Surly Cross-Check fork $35. Black powder coat, no logos,
sloping fork crown, ~26cm of steerer, star nut installed. This was the
fork on my Trek touring bike for many thousands of miles before I retired
that frame, so it's well used but in good shape. There's some areas on the
upper half of the steerer that seem to have been worn a little bit
smoother, possibly by headset spacers and a slightly loose headset, but
there are no scratches or gouges.

Sorry, the Reply to Author isn't working on the plane.

I'll take the Specialized Hubset!

Give me your paypal address and I'll send it right away (from 37,000

Also, you should inform your potential customers what rim diameter
your Dyad wheelset is.. 650B? 26? 700C?

Once again in an awkward binge/purge phase- and so I need to clear out

 provide more tonight.

 - Ideale '80' Record saddle, $125
Used, good shape with slight sit-bone depressions. Reddish brown.
Thickest saddle leather I've ever owned, solid as a rock.

 - Brooks B-17 Narrow, $85
Antique brown. Near-new, mounted and used for 50 miles. Black rails.
A slight scratch or two (moreso in the color of the finish) from
storage. Just didn't fit for me.

 - Selle San Marco Regal, $85
White perforated with copper rivets and rails. Some light use, but was
deemed too nice to be used up on a rider.

 - Selle San Marco Regal, $65
Black/brown buffalo(?) grained leather. Used, but still in good shape.
Some edge wear and tear, and some black electrical tape added by me to
 patch that.

 - Selle Italia Turbo, $40
Black. Used, great shape and no notable wear.

 - XT M730 110bcd cranks, NOS, $110
Still wrapped-in-plastic as-I-received-them with BioPace rings and
chainring bolts (that is, no bb or crank bolts). Perfectly new
condition. These are the forged M730 arms with the removable
triplizing hardware/spacers, so they can be set up as a double.
 Unspoilt satin (I believe) finish.

 - Shimano 600 / Ultegra tricolore road group, $140
RD, FD, DT shiters, brakes, levers, Riv bar-end pods. See:
 http://www.flickr.com/photos/66275...@n00/sets/72157624334441397/

 - TA Pro-5-Vis cyclotourist arms, $85
Used, some wear from front derailer rub. British threaded, 170mm
 length. No stickers.

 - Sugino GP cranks, $45
Used, good condition, nice bright satin anodized. 144bcd. 52x42.

 - Sugino XD tandem arm set, $75
Used, scuffs but still good. 110bcd - no rings. 175mm captain 170mm stoker.

 - Suntour Cyclone GT long cage rear derailer, $30
 Used, but nice and clean.

 - Nitto Randonneur B135 42cm, $25
Used, mild scratches on bends and tape residue but still good and
 clean. Sleeve engravings are fine.

 - GB Maes bars, 42cm, $30
Gold anodized sleeve with nice engravings, unfortunately slightly stem
 scuffed.

 - Misc Nitto, Philippe and Belleri bars, $10/ea
 Leftovers as pictured here:
 http://www.flickr.com/photos/66275...@n00/sets/72157623822452544/detail/

 - Cinelli new logo T-jersey, $25
 Medium, old-NOS, 3 pockets, RED with new-C-logo, tried-on but non-used.

 - Detto Pietro shoes, $30
