Totally. Not the craziest deal in the world but plenty fair. Have you ridden
it? If you have and you like it, I don’t see any downsides.

That seems like a very reasonable price for the bike and build. That said,
let me know if you want to unload those cranks after purchasing. You know,
to recoup your costs and what not...

Drw,
Or one could say it speaks to the value Julian sees that he provides to those
lucky enough to be his friends. I would easily sacrifice $500 for the type of
friendship list members here offer vs my “other” so called friends.
Perspective is everything.

Drw,
Ha. It seems it's a costly proposition to be your friend!

Orange was the 1st run of Toyo made frames. Somewhat less than 1200 total were
made in all 3 colors over the model run and the serial # on the underside of
the BB shell will give you some idea of where in the sequence yours was. Yours
has nice lugs. Later lugs were simpler. The Logic cranks
My Ram is same color. I think the year is 2003-2004. I don't recall
exactly. This looks like a solid build and the 1000-1500 range seems about
right. (Although it would take more than that for me to let go of mine)
These are japan made, and the color is beautiful.

I agree with the other comments. I think the Rambouillet is a tremendous
value these days, because it is not as fashionable, with their caliper
brakes and level top tubes. Riv seems to have evolved in their design away
from this look.
But they can fit pretty wide tires (35-ish) and handle
This frame is a good 650b conversion candidate, or Bon Jon Pass with no
fenders. Build looks like high quality parts. I'd agree in the
$1000-$1500 range, the better the paint, the higher in that range it would
be worth.

I'd say between 1000-1500$. The Ram is a tremendous value IMHO. Especially if
you compare it against Rivs current road offerings. Might also just be me and I
know there has been talk that all frames are the same quality...but just from a
totally novice looking from the outside perspective the
Ooops! Sorry...this is RBW!
What WAS I thinking? I guess: not.

Assuming no dents, no rust, just a few scratches ( dropouts, chain stay )
and components are in working order, $ 1000-1200. I have seen them go for
less, but those purchases were a steal.

I'll take a stab at it.
Assuming the stem length, handlebar shape and width, and the gearing worked
for me, and all I needed were incidentals like new cables, brake pads, and
a chain, I'd be happy to part with about $1K-ish. Ebay seems to agree with
me.
I always assume I'll be changing the
