I forgot to answer Roberta's question on what saddle I had.
It's one by Origin8.I think it's called the Sport Uno.
I double checked the measurements to make sure they were close to a Brooks B17.
I like the brown color and the comfort and have 3 of them as I cannot justify a
B17 on every bike.

I reside in an urban setting in the Dallas
Texas area.
I love running errands on my bike.
My 'errand' bike is a 90 Rockhopper with fat street tires and the large Wald
basket from RivBike on the rear strapped to a Blackburn rack.
I get in a good portion of my annual riding miles runni

It's okay for the most part, however I get frustrated when the timer keeps

I recall how beautiful the ride from Kooskia, ID
and then up along the Lochsa and Clearwater Rivers to Lolo Pass and then down
into Missoula, MT. on Highway 12.
Of course there is plenty of climbing but the remarkable beauty was worth it.
This was just a part of a couple months tour tha
Learning to change out an inner tube after flatting is definitely a high value
skill to learn for any cyclist I think.
That's probably one of the main things that would be included in a basic bike
maintenance class.
A bit of practice after learning the basics should serve you well.
