I don't know if you get Mission Critical, but Nextel is involved in a very expensive Rebanding Agreement by order of the FCC to the tune of a few Billion Clams, also word on the street is may be a expensive court fight in there also. it's kind of a wait and see what happens next, FYI everyone.

Well for what it is worth maxtracs are very inexpensive just turn the power down and add a 12 volt fan on the radios. I have a crossband and a uhf repeater built with these, they are only temporary repeaters but have never failed me or search rescue, yet the 1225 repeaters do have a kick ass
