Hi, Does any one in the groups have on of these in their junk box that they don't need? I took my duplexer to get tuned only to realize that some genius thought that duct tape was a suitable replacement for a proper lock nut on one of the cans. he did the tuneup on the duplexer as best he

I should have noted that i have moved from the jersey location to the tuscaloosa, al area. also if there is a ham club as well who wants to host a gmrs repeater, it would be open to suitably licensed members of the club.

Ouch. Maybe a regular nylon lock nut would work acceptably well and be a little cheaper? Isn't the outer sleeve (the one that the lock nut threads onto) slotted? If so, will it tighten up enough to keep the shaft from beint turned if you just use a a regular nut?

Just FYI, if you're not familiar, the utilities (PGE and SDGE come to mind) can remotely turn off complete circuits, and have had this ability through SCADA for years and years. They are just now getting to the point where they have the resources and capability to do this for each end user.

And the Agent told me they can easily track energy consumption with time of day. i have always had a problem with this. it eventually leads prices based on the time of day you use energy. as if they don't gouge you enough already they want more for usage during certain times of the day.
