Well, I have it all connected and running, coming straight out of the Doug Hall
voter. Audio is fine, TKR-850 is sending ID's as programmed, everything is OK
except one item: I have no squelch tail (carrier delay). The system keys up and
down exactly within the timing window of the mobile
Excellent! Thanks for clearing that up. But in duplex mode, how is the
internal repeat audio path disabled, so the audio can come from the voter?

Hi Jim,
I have no idea what it is but like most technicians I have a box full
of odd connectors.
How about posting a picture of the jack with a ruler in the pix?

That's a Cinch-Jones S2406 connector. Pretty rare. Surplus sales doesn't have
them... Six pin.

Both Newark Electronics and Digi-Key carry almost the full line of Jones
connectors. Radio Shack also has stocked a few Jones plugs for years, but
may not have that particular one on hand.

Hi Folks -
Are there any reliable and up to date frequency listings for County Agencies

Stockton (San Joaquin) for the weekend with my family and I would like to build

Check this link. Although it is for a Yaesu VX8, most of the entries

Its a streaming scanner site, lots of listings
and there may be some details on what frequencies
are being monitored in which areas.

By far, the best one is the RadioReference site. Its clean, easy to navigate

John,
Yes, the CHP uses several VHF frequencies for extender usage. The officer
carries a VHF radio on his/her belt, and it communicates with the car radio
for relaying signals to/from the base station.

No, I am absolutely positive that to get 0.9dB IL per Sinclair VHF bandpass
cavity, the notch depth tuning of the loop is between 11 and 11.5dB. I have
done it probably more than 100 times. The T goes on one loop and the other loop
is left unterminated.

Take a look at the link; it shows only 2 possible coupling cables, labeled
as part no. 4 in Diagram 1. The range 138-148 requires a 22 cable and 148

I think that you have to add the connector lengths to those numbers so the
length would be 20.25 tip to tip if that 19 was the length of the cut coax.

That is the question isn't it. But, still, if the length is critical, it's
hard to believe that one cable could cover
