Does any one know where I can obtain a 6 foot coiled cord 8 conductor (7 leads
+ shield) mic cable?
Thanks

If you install the packet connector mod for the TM 271 you can get COR that
way. Google that or the mods dk site probably has the packet mod listed.

Does any one have the manual for an IFR MM-100E. It is the accessory option
found in the lid of either an FM/AM 1000 or FM/AM 1100S communications monitor.
It is a cheap and dirty SINAD/Voltmeter. All I need actually is the value of
R50.
Thanks

Hi Doug,
Many years ago I had a similar situation. Instead of using the N06B filter I
used the built in hi-pass filter in a Comm Spec PL encoder/decoder board. It is
very similar to the NO6B filter. What was happening was that the filter was
introducing twist (subtle distortion) to the DTMF
It would help to know more specific hardware details, specially what controller
you are running. Many controllers have an anti kerchunk option built in.

I am just curious if any other amateur 2 meter repeater has a more
complex RACES Skywarn paging system than the 146.88 W5FC Dallas TX
repeater?
The normal daytime amateur state of the repeater is 110.9 Hz full PL.
To go into RACES Skywarn mode the following sequence occurs:

Does any one know where I can obtain a fiberglass chicken stick?
I had one at Collins Radio that was about a foot long, 1/4 inch in
diameter and would like to obtain the same. It is sure a lot safer
probing around the anode of a Klystron with a chicken stick than a
metal screwdriver.

You may wish to look at this article on the repeater builder site.
It explains a common problem you may be having.

Hi Joe,
First pray there is not a bad load or short causing power supply
shutdown. Most likely it is the electrolytics in the power supply going
bad. These IFR's are getting old enough where that can be a problem.

Sounds Like a flip flop R S latch circuit to me. Google that and you
will find something. A 7400 IC could do the latch part. Not knowing
voltage and current requirements I really can't go into more detail.

I have access to a spare run of about 150' 1-1/2 heliax at a repeater
site. It goes from the Radio Room to the roof. There is no antenna
connected to it. I would like to verify if it still any good.
Obviously, hooking it up to a TDR would be a preferred method of
verification. Next best method
Hi,
Squelched discriminator is a paradox of terms! Most of the time the
squelch function is derived from the noise seen at the discriminator.
I suspect you really mean either filtered (deemphasized) or
unfiltered gated audio and/or COS. On a Kenwood redio I had a similar
requirement. I used

I have a question about the DB base antennas such as the DB-224, DB-
420, etc. As most of you know they consist of folded dipole trombones
mounted on the mast at 90 degree angles with a phasing harness to
create a omnidirectional pattern. I have heard of pointing the
trombones all in one

Anyone one know what to expect SWR wise with a duplexer?
I have a DB products 2 meter duplexer on an amateur repeater.
Measuring with a Bird wattmeter between the duplexer and antenna I
read 50W forward and a couple watts reverse. That is ok. But when I
check between the transmitter and the TX
and has a strip transmission line printed circuit
harness as the phasing harness.

excellent. Could some one dust off a Micor maintenance manual and get
