Does anyone know if there is any science behind the location of the weep holes in a DB224 element? I have had several crack at the very bottom, apparently due to freezing water inside. The hole is located on the side, an inch or two up from the bottom. Why not put it at the bottom so the water

Hello Dave: I have a DB-224 stored behind the garage. It didn't have the weep hole in the bottom of the elements. I have pictures of it somewhere in my files. What happened was water built up in a few of the elements, froze and bent the element like an arch or archer's bow. I thought my
