Tom,
We have
Are you sure the number is not a TLE4193A? I believe that is a UHF
circulator.

Sound like a PURC unit.
You have exciter at 450 mw out that goes into a tripler/low level amp that
gives 2W out, that goes into the 75 watt amp which in turn drives the last
stage. Not bing familiar with the model number, I would guesstimate the final
out is around 350 watts.

Thanks for the Replies so far-
I have found a little info on the unit. It appears to be a 225-250W 450-470
PURC amp. It is supposedly 20-25W in, but I have not found what PA would be the
correct IPA. In the cabinet I found that the amp was bypassed, the unit was
using the 75W pa as the final.
Tom,
We have several of these 225 watt units in operation 440 MHz.
The correct PA is the 20 watt unit. It looks identical to the 75 watt chassis,
just has fewer circuit boards on the inside. Yes it is overkill for this much
heatsink for 20 watts output power, but one needs to remember that

about it.
I recently was given a SYSTEL unit made by Motorola, on 464.../469... with
duplexer and looks to be a repeater, with low level output (2w or so).
Would

Rick,
The Systel was a 2 watt repeater with a telephone interconnect designed for
small on-site systems. I doubt that it would be type accepted for GMRS as
it was based on one or more

Huh? Since when is a GP300 not type accepted for GMRS? News to me, but I have
been wrong before. (once!)

The 68P81014E15 Manual mentioned below is a supplement to the
68P81008E40 manual - you will need both for your radio.
The 68P81008E40 for the basic radio and the 68P81014E15 for the
wide-spaced assemblies. The 14E15 Manual is an interesting study
in itself.
Hope this helps,
