Re: [Repeater-Builder] Re: Duplexer parts
I don't know if this was suggested, but you can buy a cap of larger value that physically fits the area and then remove a plate/stator or two to get the proper value. Removing a plate and/or stator is a trick from way back in ham time when people scrounged parts and made them work. 73, Joe, K1ike On 4/17/2010 12:56 AM, Gary Hoff wrote: I don't think I could make one. [Repeater-Builder] GE Mastr II Base Station LBI/SAM Help
I'm looking for schematics for a 19B234871 Tone/Remote / Repeater Control Panel for a Mastr II Base station. The one Repeater Builder: http://www.repeater-builder.com/ge/lbi-library/lbi-31853e.pdf seems to be newer then the one I have. Also I have no idea where to look to see what Rev. it is. There are no markings anywhere besides on the front which states the above number. Any help would be great. Thanks, Mike

[Repeater-Builder] Motorola Rick (repeater controller) info?
Hello to the Group, I've got someone from Romania Emailing me regarding the Motorola Rick and it's setup. I thought there might be a bit of information (IE a Manual) for it on the RB Pages but I'm not able to find any. Besides the Batlabs site, is/does anyone have a web page up for the Motorola Rick Repeater Controller? thanks in advance for your reply posts. cheers, skipp
RE: [Repeater-Builder] Motorola Rick (repeater controller) info?
Skipp, The manual for the HLNB R*I*C*K is 6880901Z79, still available from Motorola Parts for about $5. Since it is still in print and is copyrighted, it should not be posted anywhere for download, lest the long arm of the law be felt by the perpetrators. I suggested to the individual that he contact the Motorola agent in his country to purchase the document. 73, Eric Lemmon WB6FLY -Original Message- From: Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com [mailto:repeater-buil...@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of skipp025 Sent: Saturday, April 17, 2010 4:45 PM To: Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Motorola Rick (repeater controller) info? Sorry Skipp, never got that request, sometimes I think not all the emails to this group end up getting forwarded to me. [Repeater-Builder] MSF5k - No Tx
OK, It just may be because it's late on a Saturday night, but I am stumped. I have a UHF 100W secure capable MSF5000 that when I key the TX (doesn't matter how of the GOZILLION ways) the 'PA On', 'PA Key' and 'PA Full' LED's light for a split second and then I get no power out. I am testing into my service monitor, so high ref. power is not an issue. I realize that the power control is a loop and I could be chasing my tail trying to figure out which came first - the lack of power or the lack of drive. I read in earlier posts something about JU1 being a service jumper. JU1 in this station is a 3 position header. When I change positions on that jumper, the station doesn't boot properly, gives an error, then resets. I don't think I am looking at the correct JU1. The manual eludes to many troubleshooting charts that apparently aren't in my book. I think that there were MANY authors and they figured that someone else will write that. For those of you that know me and know what I do, I have never worked on anything this new. I'm used to the good ol' fashioned radios, where a strategically placed alligator lead fixed all your power-set ills. Even a look at page xx in the manual for a troubleshooting flowchart type message would be helpful. Scott Scott Zimmerman Amateur Radio Call N3XCC 474 Barnett Road Boswell, PA 15531

Gary - K7NEY I could be a nice guy and extend my offer if the part you ordered doesn't work out. Just email me direct... You'd be smart to change how you view the group messages from inbound Emails to just reading the group posts on the yahoo web page for the group messages. Click on this link or paste it into your web browser of choice. You can then click to read any post that catches your fancy. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Repeater-Builder/messages If you like using the web browser method with the above link, simply save the link in your bookmarks. Then change your group member settings from Emailing messages to viewing on the web. Couldn't be simpler and reviewing older messages that you might have skipped over (no pun intended, honest) are easily viewed (in order) using the older icon on the right side of the screen at the top of the message column. You don't have to then deal with a gaggle of inbound Email messages that don't interest you. s.
