Jeff, if you download KPG21D software and generate a file for a TKR-820, the file saved by KPG21D contains images of both EEproms. The 1st half of the file is the freq. data and the 2nd half is the CTCSS info.. You could either copy the data directly into Pong-prog or write it down and enter it

Hi Jeff, I have a few DCS TKR-720/820 Eprom files in my collection. Email me direct if you haven't got it figured out by the weekend. I have a KPT-50, the software and the ponyprog setup you have so I can help as time allows. With that software and an inexpensive EEprom Programmer easily

Hi Paul, As others have also replied with similar information... you need a different type of programming interface for the TKR-820 and TKR-720 Repeaters, which is called a KPT-50 unit. The KPT-20 might also work for the cause but it's really a very early interface not normally seen on the

Hi Paul, I have a TKR-720 (VHF), and was successful in reprogramming it for the ham frequencies. However, it is not for the 'faint of heart'. 1. There are two EEPROM devices which must be reprogrammed. One for the frequencies, and one for PL. 2. The EEPROM device for the frequencies is

Re: TKR-820 and TKR-720 Kenwood Repeater with an external Tone Panel The generic answer is no... the tkr-720 and tkr-820 COS/COR logic will not normally direct drive a tone panel... HOWEVER, you are lucky in the case of using a CSI TP-154, which should work well with the COS/COR Voltages

Working from memory, I belive you're on the right track. Also keep in mind the COS output on the TKR-720/820 repeater is not a complete or true logic transistion. In short, the voltage on the COS pin doesn't go from zero to +12 volts or the converse. The level was something wacky value.
