Hello all, I recently came into the chance to acquire a 2Meter
repeater coordination and jumped at the chance. I have used some new
and old equipment for the job. Where my problem starts is with the
duplexes. When field tuned I have no receive signal when the
transmitter kicks in. We tested

Could be a couple of things going here but your description of your
tuning procedure has me concerned. Even at 10 watts power, it is
quite possible to damage cavities due to the voltages produced.
We are a Telewave Dealer and can help you with getting things going.

The landlord is installing a new tower about 150ft away from the
existing tower at one of our sites. We have a remote receiver and
backup 2M repeater located there. We're thinking it is wise to
replace the 16 year old Diamond F23 with this move to the new tower.
Our timeframe is 2-4 weeks max

I recently acquired a Telewave TRPD-0484 Duplexer (4 10 cavities 275
Khz spacing) tuned for 47.50 Mhz. This duplexer has an advertisized
tuning range of +/- 2.5 Mhz from its center frequency which I have
confirmed. I tried retuning the cavities but only could get them to go
to approximately 51

Is that the UHF flatpack with 6 small cylindrical cavities? If so, it's a
notch duplexer.

Hi again!
Oh boy, 2 questions for the group in 2 days for me!
Does anyone have any experience with Telewave Antennas, like their 4 or 8 pole on 2 meters? They seem to be priced right up there with DB.
I love the 44 Wattmeter, but I've never played with the antennas.

Their folded dipole antenna design is "borrowed" from
Sinclair Radio Laboratories. Sinclair has some nice antennas (although they do

Gary,
You're welcome!
While it is possible to convert a bandpass cavity into a notch cavity by
changing the coupling loop(s), it is always better to engineer the
system with the proper components. So, put the TWPC-1005-1 cavity on
the shelf for now, because it's not going to do anything for
Eric,
Thank you for the information. I shall try in the very near future. God info !!

Gary,
The Telewave TWPC-1005-1 is a single 5 bandpass cavity filter that can
be tuned to pass signals in the 88-108 MHz band. Its primary
application is to clean up the off-air signal at a remote studio of an
FM Broadcast station, before feeding it to the station monitoring
equipment.
