VXA?

2000-03-05 Thread blm
Has anyone any thoughts on Ecrix' VXA-1 drive? The PR and the reviews I've read make it sound good, so I was wondering if anyone here's used it. I'm going to upgrade my backup machine to a G4 and was probably going to get another DAT when I ran across VXA. Thanks, Brian -- -

I need to set up tape backup for a web site which runs on four Sun Solaris Unix boxes and one NT machine. Unfortunately, it does not look like Retrospect can do the job. Anyone have experience with other solutions or have any suggestions? -- ---

Backing up server devices

2000-03-05 Thread Owen Watson
I'm talking about devices such as Quantum's SnapServer, which offer storage space for Mac/Win/Unix clients. I assume that if I want a Mac server to back one up, I have to make it all Mac-mountable. Anyone with experience of these? . Owen Watson at home in Wellington, New Zealand
