Configurable review 'information' location - move it back to the top of the page

2014-06-22 Thread Justin Fletcher
Hiya,

I am evaluating upgrading to Reviewboard 2.0.2 and one thing the jumped out
at me as a bad decision was the move of the 'information' section from the
top of the page on reviews, to the right hand side.

The reasons I feel it to be a bad decision is that:

  * the content of this information section is squashed up on the right,
wrapping oddly and not being especially readable. Previously this
information had the full width of the window to be presented.
  * the content of this information section now squeezes the content of the
description and testing done. Previously the description and testing done
had the full width of the window and could be more readable because of it.
  * the content of this information section is generally only about as high
as a part of the description (assuming that the reviewee has written an
appropriately descriptive description), so the rest of the description and
testing done section are squeezed left, with a block of dead space to their
right, because of a small amount of information.

Maybe the users of this tool only use it with very large displays, where
these issues are not a problem. On smaller displays this becomes
increasingly acute and obviously bad decision (obviously in my opinion).

Is there a user-configurable option to move the information content back to
the top of the page, as before. I cannot see one, but in my short time
using it I may have missed one.

Discrepancy in the count shown for the number of issues shown in the list of reviews and the number of issues in a review

2014-09-03 Thread Justin Fletcher

Hiya,

We're in the process of upgrading to a more recent version of Reviewboard (from
1.6.3 to 2.0.6), and have noticed an odd effect with one of the reviews from
the old data.

In the page showing the summary of the reviews we see that the review request
has 1 issue outstanding (it is yellow, has an '! 1') in the Ship It column.
When we view the review itself, there are no issues present on that review -
never mind any that are outstanding.

Screenshots of the issue in question:
http://usenet.gerph.org/Reviewboard/reviewboard-bad-issue-count-1.png
  - shows the review in the list with a !1 issue count.
http://usenet.gerph.org/Reviewboard/reviewboard-bad-issue-count-2.png
 - shows that there are no open issues.

Running 'fixreviewcounts' didn't update the numbers.

Is there a known issue with the import of older data having odd numbers?
Is there something we can do to investigate and/or cause the number to be
correct?

Re: Discrepancy in the count shown for the number of issues shown in the list of reviews and the number of issues in a review

2014-09-04 Thread Justin Fletcher
I'm not sure if anyone had any pending drafts - Looking at the admin
interface, using Database - Reviews - and find the review by its
description, I see all the reviews that are present have ticks in the
'public' column, which I assume means that everything was published and
there's no pending drafts.

Do you know if there were any pending drafts of reviews for that review

  Hi Justin,

There was another report of this recently. I’m surprised to see this, and
will be looking into it for 2.0.7.

I can’t access either of those URLs.

fixreviewcounts, unfortunately, doesn’t yet update those counters. I’ll
make a change there as well.
