Re: Email sporadic troubles

2015-10-05 Thread Christian Hammond
Hi Gabriel,

Given the error, your mail server is configured to not allow a client to
send on another user's behalf, which Review Board does in order to properly
send e-mails. If this can be changed on the mail server, you should be sent.

It looks like you'll need to add some permissions to users in order to make
this work. This document goes over the error and some solutions:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb676368%28v=exchg.141%29.aspx

The information on this StackOverflow post may also be useful:

https://serverfault.com/questions/527404/users-unable-to-send-over-smtp-after-upgrade-to-exchange-2013

I'd be interesting in knowing if one of these solutions works for you.

Hi Gabriel,

What version of Review Board are you using, and what mail server?

This sounds like some form of configuration issue with the mail server,
though without any sort of logs or other information, it's impossible for
me to say.

Email sporadic troubles

2015-08-31 Thread Gabriel Ganam

While we try to use the following settings the e-mail notifications aren’t
being sent.

We point ReviewBorad to our mail server via FQDN.

We use TLS (Port 587) for authentication and a user was created for
ReviewBoard.

If we use an anonymous bounce method via port 25 it works for a while and
then stops.

I can’t seem to generate the same error on the logs.

Thanks!
