To provide another option; I use the compilation tag for recordings that
are either;
- from different artists (I leave album artist blank)
- from same artist (for example Beatles 1) where the recording is like a
best of album (I tag album artist as Beatles). That way, the album shows
up under

In mp3tag I have added a tag called style. In lms you
What I did was looking at several categories used by different websites
and created my own list from those;
Bop
Cool
Early / Swing / Big Band
Free / Avant Garde
Fusion
Hard Bop
Latin / World Fusion
Nu / Smooth / Contemporary
Post Bop
Vocal
On all albums -> genre = Jazz. I use the Style tag to

I don't know if this solves your problem, but
- you can tag album artist in most programs like mp3tag
- set LMS to use TPE2 as album artist. This will show the

I think it is, Im using mp3tag. I think the band tag is not standard in
mp3tag, so I created one.

Hi BJW, I have the info that I need and it worked.
Previous situation:
Tags;
TPE2=Podger
BAND=Brecon Baroque
LMS=Treat TPE2 as Band

I have a question about the new Kate Bush Remastered Part II album. It
is an album that is a combination of previous work (Hounds Of Love =cd1,
The Sensual World = cd2 and The Red Shoes = cd3). Usually I tag the Year
to the year that the music was made. So for example, for cd1, Hounds Of
Love, I

Ok, all tags are ID3v2.3.

Thanks. Do you know how to fix it? I'm using mp3tag, which I think uses
ID3v2 tags...

Hi all,
I have been experimenting with custom scan and custom browse for my
classical collection. I am using the following custom tag;
ALLARTISTS=combine ALBUMARTIST|BAND(text= / )|BAND|CONDUCTOR(text= /
)|CONDUCTOR
For a dsf album that I have, the tags are as follows;
ALBUMARTIST = Rachel

Just my 2 cents;
Would be great if we could get support for more classical tags, like
work.
I just started with classical music tagging and I am using this;
Album = composer: works; conductor; orchestra; main performer
Title = tracknumber - work incl. key, opus number, movement
Composer =
I think I figured it out myself; if I tag an orchestra under the Band
tag it shows up in LMS. If I tag under the Orchestra tag, it doesn't.

Kitchen: SB Touch -> Audio Pro Addon
Just new into classical music. Does it make any difference if I tag an
orchestra name in the Band or the Orchestra tag for LMS?
All flac files, tagging with mp3tag.
Thanks!

It's only available during the ripping process. Too bad, because the
album art picker and the gd3 metadata are quite good!
