This is just a note to say that the precompiled installation package for Mac works on MacOS 10.8 "Mountain Lion." I have also swapped out the opt/rkward/share/mime folder with the one linked below: http://reaktanz.de/stuff/R/mime.zip --No MIME errors. Everything seems to be working fine. ---

I have installed RKWard 0.5.7 on both a 10.7 and a 10.8 VM without issue. BTW, with the previous installer, I installed on VMs, and one each (10.7 and 10.8) on real computers. No errors, and I was able to do all the analyses I will need for the class I'm teaching. The only POSSIBLE issue is that

Dear Meik and Thomas: Thanks! Everything is working now. Actually, the only thing I had not found and rooted out was the KDE prefs. There was no /opt/local anymore. I knew that there was still something lurking, though, because whenever I started RKWard, it knew where my previous workspaces were.
