Re: [Rosegarden-user] Not able to instruct Rosegarden to set bank other then '0' when a340 soundfont is imported in new device as set of banks

2016-03-07 Thread Alfredo Crolle
Thanks for the tips !!!.

(It was my first post,
I did not yet understand how to respond and continue message thread in
the mailing list. :-), this is a direct reply from my usual email client.)

I already imported the .sf2 files and played around with banks.
I will try the way to add control events to set the program and channel
at track start and see if fludsynth behaviour changes.

When working with soundfonts, I've found the best practice to be to
import the banks and programs directly from the soundfont.

Studio -> Manage MIDI Devices, find or create an appropriate device,
then Banks... -> Import. Change "Files of type" to SF2, navigate to the
.sf2 file on your system, then import from there.

This will let you access every program in every bank contained within
the soundfont.

It sounds like you need to modify the device (Studio > Manage MIDI
Devices) and add the bank that you need in there. Then you will be able
to select bank 0:3 in Rosegarden.
