Go buy a mac :o) What kind of modem have you got? Is it a USB one or a Serial one? Type "ls -l /dev/modem" and tell us what it says. There's a SuSE diagnostic tool, it's call "siga" or something (it's in the manual) if you could post the output of that on a website or something that may help. E

I had the similar problems with SuSE 9.1 before Christmas and gave up with it! 9.2 installed first time and most things worked; admittedly I still can't get online but the external modem was detected correctly using Yast and my problem is to do with the settings for network and internet access. I
