Is it possible to export the Moodle configuration from the XS and then
install it on another server intended for another site? Obviously the user
data is not important in this instance. However the second example would be
backing it up, when user data is important.

Sorry folks... this was just a case of latency, it took time for some
changes to propagate through the system

We found we can correct this be re-registering but what can have happened,
and is there a quick way to bring them back in again?

My question in regard to this issue is whether what I am observing is NOT
what I should be seeing, and there is a problem with my system, or whether
your inference is what I should be noting in that you have to actually log
on as the site administrator to create a full replica o
nce with Moodle to know what to
expect - will there be any "cross over" issues (the best way I can describe
it) if teachers A and B are members of the Grade 3A and 4B courses
respectively, and then also both as members of "Teachers".
Many thanks from Central Highlands, PNG

I was surprised too but yes, that process is fine with 0.82.1 (at least from
the few user-created games we tried) - very responsive too. Good. The answer
to this is in Gary's comments on ticket 2115

see it, we need to use a registered
admin XO to configure Moodle in the first place. Is it possible to remove
this after configuring Moodle, so that we can make clones which will then
accept the next laptop as their "admin" user?

I need to download any update rpms and transfer them to and run them

Is it possible to do an offline update of the XS (i.e. download updates and
then run them offline?)
