I picked up Shotwell as a new maintainer today. There will be no
immediate bang of new features, I'm trying to get a grip on the current
state.
This is what I'm planning to do:

re-integrate with Kodi. I switched to Shotwell because there was a
plugin for XBMC that allowed me to show photos in my media center. It
was great, but when either Shotwell or XBMC evolved (into Kodi), the

$prefix/share/shotwell/icons - this was added to replace the shotwell-

I can drag pictures out of Shotwell onto the desktop and they get
exported with my edits.
However, I can't drag a picture in to Thunderbird, or Firefox, or
Telegram. Why is that?

That's actually a bug, it should only have the embedded files unless
you set the developer to Camera.

master has just seen a rather invasive change to get rid of
GtkUIManager and GtkAction*.
I would appreciate any testing you can do. I already know that the
context menus sometimes are inactive.

Probably unrelated (and Wayland specific): Sometimes the "Edit title"
and "Add tags" dialogs don't appear.
That's probably a wayland issue, yes. Some parenting missing. Can you
file a bug?

Unfortunately the Ubuntu packages are stuck in dependency wait despite
