What's the best dianostic for viruses? I've got updated Norton and AVG, but still something has screwed up my computer. Any ideas? I've used Trend Micro's PC-Cillin. They also have a free online virus checker called House Call, which you can access from their site. I've used that as well.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Catherine and anyone else that might be interested I just took photo's of these lesions and can email them if you think seeing them might help you recognize this condition. Also still curious if my theories I mentioned in my previous post are way off base

Hi Teri, The dry itchy skin in normal. I believe that is caused by the liver being compromised. Gary is probably bothered by fatigue and night sweats too. How long ago did he contract it? Do you know what the genotype is? By any chance are the lesions close to where he injected Interferon?
