Did you have any traces of hydrogen peroxide in there when you ran it? That will make big shiny metal flakes grow. Most distilled water is treated with ozone to sterilize it and ozone de-gasses pretty fast...some could be treated with peroxide. It could also be a touch of metallic silver

If you have had major surgery that would require more than a couple of units (pints) of serum (which I don't think needs to be typed), your type is done then, but not recorded permanently. A lot of the 'public' are in condition white, ie, unaware of what is going on or important in the world, and
