Hi there, just one or two tips. I use 27V DC for 70 minutes, using a Techne
temperature regulator (plus or minus 1/200th of a degree or so) set over a
bath containing a beaker containing two litres of single distilled water
(Double and triple distilled are no good, as no reaction will take
I knew that these meters were coming to my town because they announced it in
the local city electric newsletter. I had been reading about these things for a
long time now. So what I did was call my lawyer and see what I could legally do
to keep them from installing it at my house. I put a note
The man from the utility co just told me that the pulses from the meter travel
5 miles. he did not install it and I put a note on mine saying please do not
change my meter . I got through to Edison So Cal and the rep said at this time
there is no opt out. They will let me know if the
You should be able to do something like install a grounded metal
shield between the meter and your house which would reduce the
strength of any emission into the house. That should take care of it.

I'd imagine that lessemf.com would probably have something you could
use to eliminate the hazard from the meter, if worse comes to worse.
I've phoned them and they're pretty helpful and knowledgeable.
Be well,

I did watch a whole presentation on this by an electrical engineer, I have a

Basically this is what I learnt.

2 : Smart meters work on a Cluster / Cloud architecture, meaning one meter

Lena,
Thick aluminum foil should do the trick. On YouTube there is a
demonstration of someone using a turkey roasting pot made of thick aluminum
foil... after covering the meter it blocked 100% of the radiation.

I am going to ask a dumb question. How would one know if they have
had a 'smart meter' installed? (I haven't heard a peep out of our coop
about a smart meter.) We live out in the country and our meter is on
a pole about 100 - 150 ft (underground from the pole to the house)
away from the house.
Smartmeters have digital readouts.
Regular analog ones have little clock-type faces for reading.
