I use Avant Browser (freeware) which is an overlay of Internet Explorer. It has buttons for shutting off pictures and flash animations, as well as pop-ups which is very useful. You can also shut off other stuff from a convenient pulldown menu. I can't stand reading stuff on the computer when

Sorry, I probably shouldn't have brought that up. Mac vs PC is actually a kind of religious discussion for a lot of people, so maybe we should leave it alone. But I do actually have both, Macs for desktops and PCs (running Linux) for servers. They each have their merits, IMO. And Sorry Mike,
