It has to be physically thrown out whole and unfiltered as a spray. Think about what it takes to get paint color into the air. A spray gun will work. Letting it evaporate in a bowl won't, no matter how fast you make it evaporate, by whatever means. An ultrasonic plate or a spray gun throws

Most ultrasonic humidifiers use ion exchange resin filters and will remove CS from the water. Get one that can be run without the filter and has a submerged vibrating plate. There's always the option of gutting the filter box if the box is needed to have the humidifier run. Reloin Ultrasonic

A compressor type nebulizer like the air brush or Omron Elite also work even though they are not ultrasonic. I also have the Vicks humidifier and removed the filter before using. Watch out for DMSO, MSM, CS mixes. They plugged up my unit. DMSO,CS are OK. Brickey
