Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that suggested natural ways to clean my silver bars. I went with soaking them in vinegar in a foil lined bowl and it worked great! They look nearly new. Still haven't worked up to making the CS yet, but I have everything to do it. Maybe this weekend.

Hi sol, well one reason why peroxide would not clean tarnish off is that. On pure silver the tarnish might be silver oxide, so adding more oxygen from peroxide would not do anything. you want to add something that combines with the oxygen in the silver to remove it. Like the vinegar which is
